We are LIVE!!!! The very first TAL with us, Beatrix Snyman and myself. We are so very excited and want to share everything regarding Tunisian crochet. We have to start at the beginning of Tunisian crochet. The goal is to get as many as possible Tunisian crocheters together. If we do not start at the beginning, beginners will fall out. And we do not want anyone to stay behind and loose interest because of not starting at the beginning. I am also sure that even if you are intermediate or advance level, you will find the video tutorials very useful and informative.

I watched the video tutorial of Part 1 and this is where all the fun starts. As Beatrix says: Fun-Along!! In Part 1 you will find the pattern and so many tips and tricks - typical Beatrix! She LOVES to work with tricks and I like it.
The best tip she gives in Part 1 is how to get the yarn out of the centre of the cake of yarn. And I know a lot of you struggle with it. With this project you HAVE to work from the centre otherwise you will frustrate yourself. And why do I say it? BECAUSE you will work with more than one colour at once. Sometimes with as many as 5 colours at once. Out of personal experience with this project, I suggest you work either at a table where you can put your yarn in front of you or on a tray. When I sit in front of the television, I put the yarn cakes on a tray on my lap. If you do not one of these, the yarn will strangle and believe me, I went through it more than once! Not a very nice experience!!!
Beatrix also shows you how to do the foundation row with the first 3 colours. How to change colours with the chains. It is neat and looks professional. Don't go and do it without watching the video tutorial. The other nice tip or trick or whatever you want to call it, is where she shows you what to do with the 2 yarn strings with colour chancing - Front pass and Return pass. How to "twist" it to look neat at the back of your work. It is absolutely a MUST to do it this way. A pdf is available for Part 1.
I hope I inspired you to start with the beginners blanket. You learn quit a lot of techniques here. If you missed watching the video tutorials (5 lessons) please go and read my blogs about it where you will find the links to the lessons.
