Patchwork Blanket - Part 3

It is going so well with the Patchwork Blanket TAL. Every week I see the progress and improvement of work. And now I am talking about the tension, neatness and just overall beautiful work pieces. Thanks to Beatrix with her video tutorials. We all learn so much from her every week.

Beatrix has a BRAG BOARD on the video tutorial and this week I made a one photo of all. I hope I did not miss any of the beautiful work. And ladies, you can be so proud of yourself! You are doing very very well.

Part 3 is about the colours for the 3rd part of the TAL. If you use your own colours, you will find useful information in this tutorial. Beatrix also shares the diagram for the 3rd part od the TAL.

I was amazed what Beatrix shares - how to determine the yarn yardage if you want to use a substituted yarn. First I thought: OH MY! DOES BEATRIX UNDERSTAND THAT I AM NOT A MATHS GIRL? But I watched it and it is actually SO very easy. Not difficult at all! And yes, it is a bit of work to get the answer but so worth the whole exercise. You have to do a swatch in the substituted yarn to determine the quantity you will need. But who cares if you can save time and frustration of running out of yarn for a project? All I am basically say is to watch the video tutorial.

Beatrix shows how to get organised with a new project, things you will need for your new project, etc. It all boils down to PLANNING!!! And that is not all! She has a FREE pdf sheet for you to download to do all these nice thingies....
