Beatrix's video touches on to get familiar with the basic essential and helpful tools in Tunisian Crochet. She shows the different Tunisian hooks. Yes Tunisian crochet hook are not just Tunisian hooks. There are many different ones with different purposes. Did you know that? I think most of us know about the traditional Tunisian hook. The one that we all inherited from our grandmother. The long one like a knitting needle. So uncomfortable because it gets heavy with stitches on it. What about the interchangeable hook, the double sided hook, etc. Interesting isn't it?

The other tool she shows is the blockers. Oh my! What a very useful tool to have. It helps to block your Tunisian crochet item and you end up with a neat item. Tunisian crochet work should be blocked. It is not like traditional crochet work. Talking about the traditional crochet blocking. People always ask about it. Personally I usually do not block my crochet work. I "block" it as I crochet along. And how? I roll my work up into a roll like a Swiss roll but very tight and put it away like that until I work on it again.
